Roy Feldman introduced his "strictly New York style bagels and bialys" to Vermont in 1979 when he opened up two Bagel Bakery shops in Burlington. The businesses thrived, but Roy closed the doors to venture out onto something new. On May 1st, 2013 he reopened Feldman's, this time with his daughter, Maddy Feldman, at the Queen's City Pine Street location in the heart of Burlington's South End..
After four successful years, the family decided to sell the business to Bob and Patti Leonard on February 21st, 2017. Bob and Patti Leonard are dedicated to keeping the originality of Feldman's sought out primitive bagels, introducing new sweet and savory bagel flavors and cream cheeses to the menu, and creative speciality soups and sandwiches to choose from.
In August 2018 the Leonards expanded Feldman's by opening a second bagel shop on North Main Street in St. Albans, Vermont.
